Another shot of the forest cockatoos in our jarrah trees. Normally we tend to see mating pairs browsing through the little jarrah nuts, but yesterday morning there were at least 5 pairs all eating out in the same tree tops. The endless nuts and bits falling to the ground sounded like rain. This also gave rise to a bit of biffo as pairs would get a bit too close and some "social restructuring" was required. Update - Just reading the Wikipedia page on these birds, and I am stunned to discover they sell for US$20,000 each! No wonder the illegal trade remains such a problem!

    You're rich! And you don't have to spend any money. :) Seriously, it is amazing what people will pay. I heard the other day that there are more Tigers in America than in any other country - the majority in private ownership.
