Well I mentioned this a few days ago, and here's the evidence. Casually ambling through his bathroom routine, this pelican is perched some 4 metres above churning vehicular rush hour. Turns out these pelicans collect on the freeway lights along the foreshore waiting for feeding sessions at our local zoo. Apparently they cause the keepers a bit of grief.

    Wow, what a great shot of this bird. It does sadden me to see him on a light pole and so close to danger from a highway. It's just us humans taking over their bird world.

    Pelicians are such beautiful curious creatures. It looks comical to me too. Great find!
