A couple of black winged stilts float weightlessly on thick weed in Alfred Cove upstream from Fremantle. Pic of the day (yay!): Found a new blog tonight. Dustboat has a delightful charm about it, and today's image of Stanton Moor really floats my dustboat! I seem to remember seeing some photographs of the dry West Aus coast that featured really strong visions of high contrast gnarly wood - but of course I have no idea who that was. But a similar powerful feel.

    Nice composition and textures. Those birds look so unique. The blue and the orange are super saturated. Did you pump up the saturation?

    Hi Gary - nice shot of the stilts, yesterday arvo I was out trying to photograph the same bird..no luck however :(
