Scruffy from their unnatural confinement, these juvenile singing honeyeaters wait with little patience for their next feed. An orphan's upbringing is never ideal. Pic of the day: Bob's Forging Ahead post caught my eye yesterday, but it was these comments and the ensuing discussion that really got me thinking.

    Lino is right - all 4 of these guys are about ready for release into the wild. We have a great survival rate with orphan birds generally.
