Ooh, 3 days in a row I have been zooming in on a subject. Here we have a remarkably tame cormorant (darter) who was sitting in the rigging in yesterday's shot. Watching his podgy little legs carry him up the none-too-steady spars and ropes, each night I was there, was a crack-up. A case of 3 steps forward, 2 steps back, but he stuck at it until he got to where he wanted to sit. What I would like to know is where his home actually is. Does he live on the ship, or has he just taken up residence while it has been moored there?

Amazingly sleek lines on this bird...Darter is the perfect name.

Heh - until you see the pudgy little fat feet he hoists himself on. :) Thanks for the comments Matt. Good to see you back here.
