The red-necked avocet is no red-neck! These delicate and beautiful waders a commonly found around estuarine mudflats and inlets in Australia. I found this little flock by Culham Inlet in the Fitgerald River National Park. Gary Beilby is a Perth mobile vet who sees a range of wildlife including seabirds.
